The clients had a space that had previously been finished as an artist studio and open space. They asked me to remove all the flooring and the partition wall, then install new wood flooring, replace lighting with recessed LED’s, add crown and baseboard moulding and repair the walls and ceiling. When complete, this studio will be used as a music studio for recitals and jam sessions.
After demo and subflooring repair:

Built a sweet wood rack with a friend this weekend. Thank you to DIY Pete for the design and detailed plan.
I hung up a few decorative items for a homeowner. Here’s one of them.
We replaced all the deck boards and stair treads on this existing deck. We used KDAT (kiln dried after treatment) lumber so that it could be finished immediately by the homeowner, rather than waiting for the wood to dry, as is usually the case with pressure treated lumber.
I built this octagonal Gaga pit for Camp Sprout Westchester recently. The kids started playing in it before we even finished. I really enjoyed designing and building this and I look forward to action photos from camp this summer!
I repaired damaged drywall and corners in the kitchen/living room areas. Then I installed a chair rail around the kitchen. It’s amazing what a few small updates can do to change a room! Really nice paint job by Marc Greece, too.
I built and planted this garden for Sprout Westchester summer camp www.cyjsproutlake.org/sproutwestchester last spring. From all reports it grew really well and was a favorite among the campers!
All cedar materials with stainless steel cable railing, which looks amazing and doesn’t interfere with the river views
